Preparing next year !

The last morning, we went for a quick walk through the new Public Library. The building, designed as pile of books laid on a table, is awesome. Especially the corner where nothing is beneath you or its roof top patio where you can read, drink a hot chocolate and take a look at the green roof !
After taking the elevator to the 5th floor, we walked our way down and discovered a complete floor reserved for kids: books, a lot of books and interactive games. Time has to be spent their next year.

Going back home !

Pack your luggage again and head down to the train station.

Heure d'arrivée

Heure d'arrivée prévue à Trois-Pistoles samedi matin le 13 juin: 2h06.

Free piano session !

We found a piano screwed to the pier where we could play as much as we wanted in front of everyone.

Citadel

Finally good weather was waiting for us. Perfect for a long walk around Halifax historic sites.
The noon canon was specially impressive.... and loud !

Immigrants arriving to Canada had to answer questions from the Immigration Officer and were also treated by the nurses from the Red Cross. Then their papers could be stamped «Landed Immigrant» or «Deported» meaning they had to go back to their country.

Let's cook

Buying things is something, but preparing them all together is an activity no ones want to miss.

And the Subway test !

We had a practice in class but the real moment is always more stressful, one after the other they have to speak loud and clear, pronounce clearly, do not hesitate, make your choices quickly and... do not freeze !

Let's go

From one place to the other ... we walk !

What's for supper ?

Fajitas !!! By team they had to get everything we had on the grocery list. The iceberg lettuce was playing Hide and Seek with Camille and Zack they told me. JE had to go help them...

Guitar time

A little bit of guitar to keep the family together. It's always appreciated by the people in the youth hostel.

Andy Smith

Our traditionnal story teller: Andy Smith brought us through places where, if you listen carefuly you can hear strange noises !!! ... I didn't say ghosts...

The Halifax meetings

Being all squeezed in JE's bedroom or in one of the living rooms, we have meetings to put everyone on the same track. From breakfast to bedtime we meet, adjust, speak, and clarify our expectations.

Cora's

From the first morning, we need to dive and face the real life in English: order your own food in a restaurant ! From chocolate/banana pancakes to bacon and eggs, you need to speak loud and clear.

Having fun !!

Because you are a little crasy, too happy, excited or just because you are tired ?

Sleeping in the train !

It's so much important to sleep for a while, but you can't expect to sleep more than an hour or two. So you get to Halifax terribly tired. No mather how tired you are, this trip is unforgettable.

Halifax #10

Yes it was late in Trois-Pistoles and worst in Halifax. But we made it, safe and sound. Starving, we devored pizza, did our final Halifax meeting of the day and went to bed. Everything is going according to plan !
