To strong for the Mexicans !

Two little kids walking around with an anchor !

Who's driving now ????

Hopefully, the ship is firmly tied to the dock !

Olà Capitan !

You remember the boat ... we had the chance to visit it at the end of the afternoon !!!!! WoW! Really clean boat but the Mexicans working on it were difficult to understand.

I got a star !!!

It fell from the sky !!!

Marc-André....

I will put this in your bed, and I will put off the rubber bands !

Maude kissing....

She fell in love with a nice and strong Star.... fish ! They were talking about getting married !

And our turn came

It was our turn to play with the «sea animals». It took a while to brake the ice and to be brave enough to handle or manipulate them, it was finally so cool !

Sara with a little crab!!!

Sara was the guide that make us touch lobsters, crabs, starfish, sea cucumbers,etc... Me,Francis, just touch the starfish. Some like Thomas,Michael,William,Allyson and some others touch all the sea animals.
-FRANCIS

On Darthmouth side!!

We're now in the bus to the Bedford Institute of Oceanography. We took two buses to get there.
-Francis

The ferry or the best teachers???

we took the ferry to go to Darthmouth side. That was fun we were all happy to take it. We wanted to lean on the side but we can't it was forbiden. We took it on the water front of Halifax . and we travelled the Bedford Bassin. It's not a big one but it's cool to travel it.

FRANCIS

The Cuauatémoc

Nice ship but so big!!! It comes from MEXICO !!! It's really nice to look at. It is school boat, people from the mexican Navy work on it. They are going around the world with it ! The sips with sails, they call them «tall ship».

The Prince Caspian

After a second stop in two days eating pitas (because they are so good !!!), and after the purchase of some new books at a local book store, we walked up on Spring Garden Road to watch the last Narnia Chronicles-The Prince Caspian. Oufff !!! After the brewery today where the characters were hard to follow, this movie was not that easy to understand but really fun to look at !

Julio the Poker Master

At the Brewery Julio had to play a kind of poker game at the bar.... and he won !!!! They were not playing with money but with seeds !

Alexander Keith's Brewery

After a little rest time in the early afternoon we went to take the historic tour of the Alexander Keith's Brewery. Real actors were presenting the Brewery and they were speaking really fast. Even if it was hard to get all their sentences, it was great.

Rain today

Today it was raining. So we had 30 extra minutes of sleep and we had breakfast in the youth hostel. We had to reschedule two times the day, at first because of the rain and later on because we were late for lunch and we would have miss the bus to Dartmouth.
So we spent the morning in the Youth Hostel, doing oral activities with Nathalie for a group and an interview for the other group. This one met a couple from Germany and they spoke about life in their country, about their trip to Canada and their stay in Halifax. The woman was an English teacher and was impressed of kids English skills.

USA boat in Canada ?????!!!!!!!!

We saw USA boats when we (all the grade six and Joël)
went take a walk while the others went to the grossery store.
We don't know why but they were there and we spoke with
army guys one from Canada and one from USA.

They said us to don't take pictures but ...

-Michaël

Is he jumping?

Look this picture, do you think he jumps or he flies?
Make up your minds and remember that we were
at the science centre.

Look the line in the middle and look under him we see only
half of a box...

It's a mirror! and he never jumped only one leg is in the air and the other one is hidden behind the mirror.

-William

A chat with a sheep

We saw an interactive movie where a sheep with rubber boots talked to us about the climate changes and the global warming.

Allyson is injured !

Mommy JE cut my head and put it on a table.....I want to leave..... or my head back !
-Allyson
We were at the Discovery Center, we were looking at funny things and my favorite one was to make big bubbles !
-Jonathan

Crosby was once a baby !

This picture remainds JE of a little baby that stayed behind ! He might play hockey too.... and have a baby bottle of the Montreal Canadians !

Nova Scotia Hall of fame !!!!

We looked at different things from famous athlets from Nova Scotia; Syndney Crosby #87, Mike McPhee #35, Don Koharsky, NHL referee and much more. Here J.E is on the picture with his good friend Sydney !!! and the dryer that Sydney was practicing on in the basement in Cole Harbour.

FOOOODDDDD !!!!

And than, we had breakfast ! Cora's Breakfast is awesome !

Girls look at their messages

This morning the girls were looking at the parents comments before to go for breakfast. The hungry boys were waiting ... Tomorrow they will get up sooner !!!!

8:30 it's too late !

The girls woke up at 8:30, one hour later than the boys because they forgot to put on the alarm clock (that's what Nathalie is saying). They were all in top shape. William was jalous of the girls because he found that 7:30 it's too early. The boys were waiting a long time for the girls but we were not angry.
-Thomas

Looking at messages

We were awake at 7:30am, as we planed the day before, and we took a shower, made up our beds and finally we were excited to go on the blog see what the parents wrote. We are happy to receive your messages and hope you will continue to put some on the blog.

We're finally there !

The sun is back ! It has been raining for hours, by the time we could see the city limits, the sun was shining ! Yes....

We made friends on the Train !!!

We met so many good people on the train ! Three High School teachers were also going to Halifax with 28 of their students. Polite and patient with us they spoke slowly, played guitar, played cards with us and did some magic trick ! St-Clement elementary school (École des Jolis-Vents) salutes Peterborough High School and their teachers. Have a good trip to Halifax and a safe way back.

WE're getting closer !

When we start to see the graffiti on the side of the railway we're getting close. Pack all your stuff, be ready, don't forget anything Halifax here we come !

Papa Mario's is the place to go

We were hungry, tired and ready to eat NOW !!!! Fast but not that healthy restaurant, (we know we know !!!) Papa Mario's helped us to put everyone back on the track ! You know it's about 100m from the Youth Hostel ! We also got a great map of the city !

A little walk on the waterfront

After supper, we had a little walk on the waterfront, looking at the boats and breathing the fresh air of the Atlantic. From fresh it got cold so we came back to the Youth Hostel for our little end-of-the-day meeting.
