This morning it was Pier 21

Pier 21 was the doorway for immigration in Canada. Every soldier going to war was passing here. The movie was awesome, it's a big part of our history.

We are in a complete different world

We are back in 1880. It's amazing !

Finally visiting the Alexander Keith's Brewery

They were speaking fast but scenes were easy to follow. We are now waiting to get started.

Playing cards at the Stag

Ariel was this year's winner with a flush !!!

Welcome to the Stag

That's the bar where they give beers and... lemonade. Come on in.

Here's the music !

The Citadel inside yard

Ariel trying to locate where was the music coming from... drums and bagpipes.

JE at the Citadel

Carrying Alexis' backpack who forgot it at our first stop... Cora. Look alive my boy, take care of your things.

At the Citadel on Tuesday

A soldier, Private MacDonald, explain his job, his costume, his gun, his wooden bed.

Having breakfast at Cora

Take a good look at ... the finger nails ! It has to fit with the T-shirt. Can you imagine the work she had to do with the flat iron for the hair ?

I'm impressed ... but I won't tell you !

Picture from Camille's camera. Samuel on the waterfront trying to realize that he is far from his ATV. Good luck boy !

A tourist with a tuque !

End of May in Halifax, wearing a tuque to take pictures at nothing ! Real

tourists !!! On our way to the waterfront on our first day here.

Pictures from the train

Now resting a little in the hostel, we're taking time to upload pictures on the blog.

N'ATTENDEZ PAS À CÔTÉ DU TÉLÉPHONE... NOUS SOMMES AU CINÉMA !!! NOUS APPELLERONS PLUS TARD !

Our friend Andy Smith

Andy Smith the great story teller took us on an imaginary journey. From privateers to ghosts we had a good time.

Citadel

While it was not raining, we chose to go to the Citadel on the first day. Here the private is firing the musket.

Ordering breakfast

Even choosing in the kids menu it's awesome here. The server was great with the students.

Walking under the sun

Luckily, it was partly sunny this morning. So we walked to Cora for breakfast.

lundi 23 mai 2011

Your best friend so far...your tuque !

It's very cold here today. After our traditional pizza supper from

Papa Mario's, we went for a walk on the waterfront. It was freezing. Putting a tuque in your luggage was the best move you could have done. A hot chocolate to walk back to the Youth Hostel was more than welcome.

Playing Aki when refueling in Moncton

Watching a movie... in English (of course !)

Using every strategies to make them wait...

To waiting in the train...

From waiting at the train station...
